Powerless Morning

Delicate flakes of snow fall on my fragile autumn leaves.

The weight forces my branches towards the ground.

At my breaking point, I give in and release my limbs.

Power lines are helpless.

My city goes dark.

Everyone is forced to enjoy the real silence of the rising sun and falling snow.

      Thank you.

  • Sandra-Jane Goddard

What an unusual viewpoint, David. Highly original – like it a lot.

Thanks, I feel bad for the trees during these early snows.

  • Debi Swim

Love the ending. Where I live this usually happens at least once a winter.

I like the viewpoint, interesting take on the arrival of the first snow.

    • David Seguin

Thanks Diana. Yes, I was thinking about the delicate and the destructive.

Love the creativity here mate and agree with others about the beautiful ending. I do feel it lost its poetic flow in the last couple of lines though.

Sorry to point out that, but we all need constructive feedback right?

      • David Seguin

Thanks for the comments Luke. I appreciate all forms of feedback, it’s the only way to get better!

Snow is a wonderful medium to work with, so dramatic, yet so silent unlike rain, wind, thunder, it can blind. Great images captured here.
