Too Late for Love

Mattie fell head over heels in love with a man she never met. His smile in a picture and his poetic words typed on a screen were enough for her to know him.

Now, standing over her grave, he weeps.

“I’m sorry I failed to tell you, I love you Mattie. Perhaps we’ll meet in Heaven.”

Wow, there’s a lot going on here.

Thanks for posting my story Austin. My daughter’s reaction was a pause and a big oooooooh. I need to know what happened! It gave me a good laugh and a great feeling.

At this time I do not have a website.

    Thanks again,
    Pat

I liked this one a lot. I think short is always better and less is more which is why I write short short stories.
